2. request quotes from SEC-endorsed installers without getting recommendations
   
3. ask to be put in touch with one or more SEC-endorsed installers near you, which may end up in a quote.

Yes. We encourage you to compare options so you’re comfortable with your final decision. When you use Easy Electric SEC to request quotes, we’ll connect you with up to three SEC-endorsed installers in your area.

When you request a quote through Easy Electric SEC, you’ll see product types – not appliance brands – which gives you ballpark estimates of your upgrade costs.

From there, the SEC-endorsed installer you chose will work with you to understand your home, your energy goals and budget, and the specific brands you’re after to refine your estimate.

It’s worth noting we endorse installers who care about your overall experience. As part of SEC endorsement, your installer commits to providing quality products that meet your needs and budget.

When you choose Explore going electric in Easy Electric SEC, you can model different estimated costs and savings based on the appliances you select. You’ll see recommendations and can choose a view that best suits your energy upgrade goals. For example, explore estimated costs and savings for:

1. going all electric
2. the quickest payback
3. lowest emissions, or
4. biggest energy bill savings.

If the estimate looks too high or you think you could do more, simply unselect or select appliance types to adjust your upgrade. Your estimate updates in real time.

You can stop there if you like: you don’t have to request a quote. If you’re ready to take the next step, just follow the prompts to get an obligation free quote.

After you request a quote through Easy Electric SEC, the SEC-endorsed installers you chose will be notified. They’ll review your estimates and get in touch to discuss your request. In some cases, they may arrange a site visit.

They’ll then tailor a quote to suit your needs, goals, preferences and budget. If you’re not happy with the quote, you don’t have to accept it.

If you’d like changes to the quote, simply contact the SEC-endorsed installer and discuss your options.

No. Your quote is obligation-free and you don’t have to accept it. So, why not give our Easy Electric SEC online tool a try? You’ll get estimates for costs, savings, payback periods and rebate information that may help you decide on what to change to electric and how to do it.

Your SEC-endorsed installer is notified as soon as you request a quote. They’ll aim to make contact within a business day. This doesn’t mean they’ll quote by then, but they may set a time to do a site visit, send an email to set a time to call, or call you to get more information about what you’d like to do.

Every installer has their own method of quoting. We encourage you to compare quotes and ask installers directly about price differences between quotes. One installer may factor in something that another hasn’t – for example, a need to rewire a circuit board, or extra people to manage a larger job or bring in heavy appliances.
