SEC will launch a formal Expression of Interest (EOI) process later in the year for reputable and certified installer or trades businesses to become an SEC endorsed installer.
Installers who wish to participate must have:
- A proven track-record for installing quality household electrical appliances, such as solar, batteries, heat pumps, induction cooktops and more
- Expertise across all aspects of home electrification or specialist expertise in single appliances, including heat pump hot water, solar panels, heating and cooling.
- Experience delivering similar programs, be able to respond to high levels of interest and meet criteria including professional certifications, licences, accreditations, experience, track record, product quality and warranties.
- Be authorised under relevant rebate and incentive programs, such as Solar Victoria’s Solar Homes and Victorian Energy Upgrades scheme.
Local and regional-based businesses are also invited to participate.
Installer and Trade businesses can now register their interest in participating in the EOI process when it formally opens later in the year.
