Pioneer Investment market search

In May 2023, the SEC released its Pioneer Investment Mandate, detailing the project criteria to guide its first investment.

Market participants were invited to submit Registrations of Interest (ROI) to identify suitable renewable energy generation and storage projects across Victoria.

The ROI phase closed on 15 May 2023. The SEC, supported by independent advisers, is now undertaking a comprehensive assessment process.

Following this assessment, selected proponents will be invited to submit a Request for Investment Proposal, which is the next phase of the search process.

After evaluation and due diligence, the SEC and its advisers will make recommendations to the Victorian Government on potential investments.

The intention is to announce the SEC’s Pioneer Investment/s by the end of 2023.
